Why We Give
Living With Open Hands
When you begin a relationship with Jesus, one of the first things He teaches us is how to live with open hands. As followers of Christ, we are called to give faithfully and sacrificially. We start with the tithe, returning the first 10% of our income to God.
We also believe in giving above and beyond the tithe to help move the mission of the Church forward, both here in our community and around the world.
When you give to Greenville First, you help create space for more people to encounter His love. You are investing in the future of the Church and helping reach the next generation with the hope of the gospel.

Why do we give?
We believe God invites us to give beyond the tithe as a way to help grow His work in our city and around the world through the Church.
How are my tithes and offerings being used?
Your tithes and offerings are making a difference both here in our community and around the world. At Greenville First, our mission is to journey with people from where they are to where Jesus wants them to be. When you give, you join us in putting that mission into action.
How do I make changes to my recurring donation?
To make changes to your recurring donation, you can login in directly to your Pushpay account here.
How are electronic payments processed?
Payments to Greenville First are handled through our partner Pushpay. Pushpay features the very best secure payment encryption technology.
Is my giving to Greenville First tax deductible?
Yes, Greenville First is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and your donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
When will I receive my annual giving statement?
Your annual giving statement will be emailed to you in January for the previous calendar year. You can log in to your Pushpay account to access your annual giving statement here.
What about end-of-year contributions?
You can give your year-end contributions online or in person at one of our offering boxes on our campus. Online contributions made by midnight on December 31 and mail in contributions that are postmarked by December 31 are recorded as contributions for that same year.
All contributions received or postmarked after December 31 are recorded as contributions for the following year. Year-end giving statements are emailed by no later than January 31 to the email address we have on file.
